Sage Legal Search LLC was established by Robin
Cohen and Judy Simon in 2002. Thanks in large part
to the two principals' solid instincts and combined legal and recruiting experience,
their client list has grown exponentially. Sage boasts successful placements
nationwide in a variety of practice areas, with special emphasis on all aspects
of intellectual property, litigation and employment law. Robin and Judy weave
their recruiting magic in a centrally-located office in Manhattan, complete
with tasteful and realistic faux plants (both principals would rather nurture
their clients than a temperamental ficus), a bottomless candy jar and an eclectic
selection of Judy's iPod music.
The strengths of the two women complement each other well. Robin is deliberate,
dependable and supportive with an unfailing dedication to research and analysis.
Judy, the Yin to Robin's Yang, has a straight-talking, shoot-from-the-hip
style and relies strongly on her finely-honed and highly accurate "gut
instinct." While Judy works outside the box, Robin makes sure no box
is left unopened. Since both principals are actively and personally involved
with any project Sage undertakes, every client benefits from the seamless
integration of these qualities.
Robin and Judy have drawn on their extensive connections from all corners
of the legal field to create and maintain a state of the art database of exceptional

Robin Cohen graduated from New York University School of Law Order of the Coif in 1981 and practiced law for many years with two prominent New York firms. Previously, Robin did graduate work in developmental biology and biochemistry at the Sloan Kettering Institute after receiving her BS in Biology from SUNY Stony Brook. In 1996, Robin moved into recruiting at one of NY's veteran recruiting firms, where she met her current business partner, Judy. Robin, a life-long urbanite, lives in Manhattan with her husband, their two teen-aged daughters and an unusually gregarious cat.

Judy Simon graduated with honors from Rutgers Law School in 1986. She began her legal career as an associate at a well-respected NY firm and then spent seven years in the law department at PepsiCo, Inc. Judy then switched to recruiting, working with Robin as the IP Placement Group of an established recruiting firm. Prior to her legal career, Judy, a Vassar graduate, enjoyed a five-year reign as the Women's World Frisbee Champion and coauthored a book about the sport. Today, Judy still appreciates a fine expanse of green lawn and resides with her family in a NY suburb. These days, however, she channels her energy and world-class commitment into tirelessly serving her Sage clients and serving as Chief Operating Officer of her family, although she does admit to an occasional rousing game of catch with the family dog.
